
General Christopher J. Mahoney
Vice Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
General Mahoney was sworn in as the 13th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on October 1, 2025. In this capacity, he is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the nation’s second-highest-ranking military officer. His General Officer duties include serving as the 37th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps; Deputy Commander, U.S. Marine Forces Pacific; Director of Strategy and Plans at HQMC; Deputy Commander, U.S. Forces, Japan; Commanding General, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing; and Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources, HQMC.
He has held command at the squadron, group, and wing levels. He completed a Joint Force tour as Chief of Staff of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California, and he served as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources at Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC).

Ms. Barbara Golf
Executive Agent for Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Directorate, Space Systems Command, LAAFB
Mrs. Barbara A. Golf is the Executive Agent for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) within the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power directorate, Space Systems Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. In this role, she directs the SDA DOTMLPF-P (doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy) activities to align the enterprise with integrating quickly into operations.
Mrs. Golf is a 2003 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and started her Air Force career at the Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. She has served as a space acquisitions officer for radar and communications systems, establishing an excellent program management record in high-stakes, interagency developments.
