Promote Your Brief or Presentation

Spread the Word!

In order to increase attendance at the meeting and drive interest in your session, we need your help getting the word out. Below we have written pre-populated Email Signatures and Pass-along Email Templates to help you "promote" your participation. These are easy and effective ways to create awareness and help drive attendance at your session. However, make sure you include specific information about YOUR session (presentation title, presentation date).

Email Signatures

Using email signatures is a great way to promote your session at JNC 2023. Below you will find samples of good email signatures you can use to promote your session at the conference. And, we have included instructions on setting up email signatures in Microsoft Outlook.

Sample 1: (Don't forget to personalize it for your presentation) Attend JNC 2023, June 12-15, 2023, in San Diego, CA. and attend my presentation (presentation title) on (presentation date). Register today at www.ion.org/jnc

How to Create an Email Signature in Outlook:

To add an email signature to your Outlook:

1. Select Tools | Options.. from the menu in Outlook. 
2. Go to the Mail Format tab. 
3. Click Signatures.. under Signatures. 
4. Go to the Email Signature tab. 
5. Click New. 
6. Type the new signature's desired name. 
7. Click OK. 
8. Type the desired text of your signature under Edit signature. It is best to keep your signature to no more than five or six lines of text. 

To add your business card as a vCard file
(with which recipients can import or update your contact details): 

1. Move the cursor where your business card should appear in the signature. 
2. Click Business Card in the formatting toolbar. 
3. Locate and highlight yourself. 
4. Click OK. Click OK. Click OK again.

Pass-Along Email Templates

The Joint Navigation Conference is coming up fast. As a JNC 2023 speaker or Session Chair, ION would like your help getting the word out to your network of peers and colleagues to make sure they know about this event and to give you the opportunity to personally invite them to attend and submit an abstract.

Below, you will find pre-written invitations for you to simply copy and paste into your own email and send to your full mailing list. Remember to customize it by adding the name, date, and time of your session in the third paragraph.

The ION Military Division’s Joint Navigation Conference is the largest U.S. military navigation conference with joint service and government participation. The event focuses on enhancing dominance and resilience for warfighting and homeland security PNT.

The conference includes a technical exhibit and showcase of Guidance, Navigation and Control technology products and services and operational product demonstrations. From an operational perspective, the conference will also focus on advances in battlefield applications of GPS, critical strengths or weaknesses of fielded navigation devices, warfighter PNT requirements and solutions, and navigation warfare.
