Session A4: GNSS in Challenging Environments 2

Moscow GPS Spoofing Investigation
Igor Tsarik, Amungo Navigation, Estonia
Location: Grand Ballroom G

There is a problem with satellite navigation continuous availability in Moscow. This is a very bad thing for people, but is very good for engineers and entrepreneurs; especially since the spoofing take place in the most famous parts of Moscow. The source of spoofing was found with simple and low cost device. This device is a four-channel GNSS receiver integrated with an antenna array. It is mounted on the back side of a mobile device and connected to a tablet using USB. Thus the device is linked to a mobile device camera in order to make an Augmented Reality UI. The Augmented Reality allows us to locate interference sources much easier and very intuitive, on a real time video background. The process of locating as well as spectrum parameters of spoofers or jammers are saved for analysis.
