OVERVIEW
Papers published in the proceedings will be peer reviewed/have editorial oversight. Peer review will be accomplished by independent reviewers and supervised by a committee. To be peer reviewed:
PEER REVIEW CRITERIA
Other considerations and guidelines for ION conference paper peer reviewers:
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Each paper shall be peer reviewed by two independent reviewers (typically the subject matter experts chairing the session) and/or supervised by a committee. The paper must be passed by two independent reviewers in order for the paper to pass peer review.
If the paper receives one endorsement for peer review by one peer reviewer, and the other reviewer fails to endorse, the paper shall be escalated to the conference’s Publication Committee for management of a third review and adjudication.
Additionally, if for any reason a paper fails to receive two peer reviews (either a chair fails to perform a peer review in a timely manner or a conflict of interest is determined to exist), the paper shall be escalated to the conference’s Publication Committee for management of a third review and adjudication.
NON-PEER REVIEWED MATERIALS
Non-peer reviewed materials will be distributed to conference attendees as supplemental materials for completeness of conference information; including but not limited to presentation files, policy briefings, etc. that have been provided by presenters. However, these supplemental materials will not be included in the conference proceedings.
