Elisa Gallon - 2022 Burka

Elisa Gallon is currently a PhD candidate at the Navigation Laboratory of Illinois Institute of Technology, where she focuses on the development of bounding, time correlated GNSS error models. From 2016 to 2017, she worked as a young graduate trainee at the European Space Agency on orbit determination and time synchronization of Galileo satellites, more precisely on the improvement of their orbit fitting algorithm. She received her BS in pure mathematics from Université Blaise Pascal in 2014 and her MS in GNSS from Ecole Nationale De l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) and ISAE-Supaéro in 2016.

Demoz Gebre-EgziabherDr. Mathieu Joerger is an assistant professor at Virginia Tech, working on high-integrity multisensor integration for air and land applications. He is a technical lead for the FAA on ARAIM for the EU/US Cooperation on Satellite Navigation. He is the 2009 recipient of the ION’s Bradford Parkinson Award and the ION’s 2014 Early Achievement Award. Dr. Joerger received his MS in Mechatronics from INSA Strasbourg, France and MS and PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology

Jason Rife - Burka 2019Dr. Boris Pervan is a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he conducts research on advanced navigation systems. Prior to joining the faculty at IIT, he was a spacecraft mission analyst at Hughes Aircraft Company (now Boeing) and a postdoctoral research associate at Stanford University. Dr. Pervan has won numerous awards, including the ION Kepler Award in 2022. Dr. Pervan received his BS from the University of Notre Dame, MS from the California Institute of Technology, and PhD from Stanford University.
