Citation: For representing the timing community and facilitating the incorporation of the Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) Systems and Applications Meeting into the ION’s meeting programs.
Ms. Francine Vannicola has served as the chair of the PTTI Executive Committee for the past six years, during which she has lead an international committee and spearheaded the development of the world’s preeminent technical meeting on precise time and time interval systems. In addition to facilitating the technical collaboration between the various branches of the DOD, she has built relationships with the international timing community. More recently, she played an instrumental role in bringing PTTI technical timing expertise to the ION.
Ms. Vannicola is a mathematician at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Advanced Space PNT Branch. She received a B.S. in Statistics from Virginia Tech. Her current work involves GPS on-orbit and Block IIF life test clock analysis. She served on the PTTI Executive Committee from 1995 to 2016, was the Chair from 2010 to 2016, and served as the PTTI General Chair in 2013, 2014 and 2016.
