2009 Competition Awards

Dynamic Competition:

First: $15,000
Case Western Reserve University

Second: $10,000
Ohio University

Third: $5,000
ETS (Canada) - Prize reduced to $1,250 (25% of $5,000) due to mowing less than half the grass.

Basic Competition:

First: $2,500
University of Cincinnati - Prize reduced to $625 (25% of $2,500) due to mowing less than half the grass.

Prize amounts decrease if less than 50% of the grass is cut.

In addition, special international recognition is provided for all participating teams through ION publications and announcements at the ION GNSS meeting. The winning teams will also be given an invitation to display their lawnmowers during the ION GNSS meeting, and given the opportunity to make a 20-minute presentation on their robotic lawnmower design. Finally, videotapes of the competition event will be distributed to sponsors, media, and the public.
