Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three teams at each Regional Competition. In addition, the top two teams placing at the Regional Level will be invited to compete at the National Competition, May 26, 2012 at the Smithsonian's Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC.
Regional teams that qualify to participate in the National Competition whose school is over 100 miles from downtown DC will receive a travel grant to assist with travel expenses.
Monetary awards will be presented to the top three teams at the National Competition.
