The first Quazi-Zenith Satellite was launched in September 2010. Since then, experts have been devoted to improving the precision. In June 2011, it was announced that the signals could be formally used. Even now, experts are still making adjustments and refining operations, while GNSS application verifications are also being performed. Recently, Japan’s government has decided to provide an expanded system by the late 2010s, and is now establishing a development organization. This workshop will feature experts describing QZSS, its current characteristics and performance, and its future.
