   Travel and Business Information

Climate
Autumn in Nashville brings with it the area’s most pleasant weather– including the lowest humidity of the year and relatively low rainfall. Daily highs for the month average 82° Fahrenheit (28° Celsius) with nightly lows averaging 61° Fahrenheit (16° Celsius). Evenings require a sweater or light jacket. Since the weather varies, layered clothing is a good idea to accommodate sunny days and cooler nights.

Convention Center & Parking
The conference will be held primarily at the Nashville Convention Center, located at 601 Commerce St., Nashville, TN 37203. Some sessions will be held at the attached Renaissance Nashville Hotel, located at 611 Commerce St., Nashville, TN 37203. Parking is available across the street for $8 per day at the Commerce Street or at the Nashville Public Library parking lots.

Ground Transportation
Taxi: Taxi fare from Nashville International Airport (Airport Code: BNA) to the convention center (8 miles) is approximately $24 each way.

Session Papers Online
Registered attendees may download technical papers and conference presentations online for FREE. Papers can be accessed by clicking the Attendee Login link above.    Attention International Participants

VISA WAIVER COUNTRIES:
International travelers who are seeking travel to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program are now subject to enhanced security requirements. New rules require people traveling to the U.S. under the visa waiver program to register online in advance, instead of filling out paper forms in flight or at the airport at: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov.

NON-VISA WAIVER COUNTRIES:
We recommend that you apply for your visa at least three months in advance due to security related policies that have greatly increased the time required to process visa applications. U.S. consular officers now interview most applicants as part of the application process. Additionally, there is a mandatory security check period of 30 days for people whose passports are issued from several nations.

Letter of Invitation requests: Conference attendees requesting a visa letter to attend the conference must register and pay the registration fees BEFORE a letter of invitation will be sent. If the attendee is unable to secure a visa, he/she will need to apply for a refund according to the printed refund policy for the event. Exemptions to this policy apply only to authors whose papers have been accepted for presentation, company personnel working in the exhibition area, or trade associated press. Visa letter requests should be directed to meetings@ion.org.
