| Abstract: | This paper presents new topologies of microstrip band pass filters adapted for GNSS receiver front-end. The microstrip technology allows the fabrication of flexible low cost filters which can be equivalent to high order filters. The chosen method of design provides compact filters that can be integrated in GNSS receivers. Basically two different architectures of filters are presented in this document. Both types of architecture deliver suitable RF filters for the front-end of a GNSS receiver. The first topology consists of a coupled loop resonators, while the second one is based on the stepped-impedance hairpin resonators. Both designs have good characteristics of rejection, insertion losses and adaptation. Both techniques introduce additional transmission zeros to improve the rejection. The response of the designed filters has been measured and the results are consistent with the GNSS requirements. |
