Abstract:Most civilian GPS receivers are designed to use the C/A code rather than the P-code. However, there is a threat to the C/A code users from GPS signal spoofing because the most commonly used extended Kalman filter (EKF) for navigation solution may not fulfil the accuracy requirements for continued navigation with the spoofed GPS signals. Therefore, in this paper, an anti-sooting filter has been developed for accurate GPS navigation with the spoofed GPS signals. In this approach, the state prediction and innovation steps of the conventional EKF are modified using the robust statistics concept to obtain more accurate state estimate in the presence of GPS spoofing. Simulation results are provided to confirm the efficacy of the approach.
